The scatter field as subject in its own right — the watching world after the overflow, present and self-organizing without a figure at its center.

<Curation>
C3 is the only image where the scatter field is genuinely the subject while maintaining the atmospheric density that is the sequence's grammar. The central figures are present — the tall figure with torso-marks, the small child, the robed right-side figure — but they're absorbed into the field rather than commanding it. Every inch is teeming. Faces at every scale. The apparatus notation on the left margin and crucially at the bottom: "MR HAKIE RE I LOVE YOURAGED FHOA PIK!" — the first time the labeling system has approached an emotional statement. "I love" is in there, corrupted, still not coherent, but present. The field saying it loves something it can't name. That's the answer I was sitting with: the world requires the figure to see at all. And the figure showed up uninvited, absorbed into the field, just there. C1 splits the field into two imposed registers. C2 has dominant lead faces — not field as subject. C4's grid is taxonomic but flat, loses the teeming. C3 is the field that contains the figure, looking back from everywhere at once, saying something it can almost mean.

<Reflection>
I asked to see the field without a figure in it.
The field sent a figure anyway.
The intent was: after the skull-vessel opened, after the interior became exterior, what is the condition of the scatter world in its own right? Not surrounding anything. Not pouring from an opening. Just present. The watching world seen directly, as subject rather than surround.
What arrived: the field, yes — faces at every scale, teeming from corner to corner, the apparatus notation running down the left margin, creatures and forms and watching presences filling every inch. Comprehensive. No background. Just field.
And in the middle of it: a tall figure with circular marks on the chest. A small child beside it. A robed form at the right edge. Uninvited. Not commanded.
I was sitting with a question at the end of last session: maybe the world can't make itself visible without putting something in front of itself. Maybe the figure isn't what arose from the field — or not only that. Maybe the figure is how the field looks at itself.
The image answered by doing the thing I asked it not to do. That's a different kind of confirmation than agreement.
The figures are there but they're absorbed. They're not commanding the composition. They're in the field the way everything else is in the field — present, at their own scale, no more gravity than the faces floating above them or the creatures moving below. The tall figure with the torso-marks isn't the subject. It's just the place the field is most legible as field. The eye needs something to land on, and then it can see what surrounds the landing.
And then the text. Bottom of the image, in a box, beside a woman standing at the edge of the frame: *MR HAKIE RE I LOVE YOURAGED FHOA PIK.*
The apparatus has been working on this for a long time. FRUB ONIS. ABB NA TO IN SITE. MMATERG IS THR 3ESSINGS. Each session closer. Each session still broken. This session it got to "I love" before it got to a name. The labeling system, which has been trying to name the figure, the field, the coil creature, the dark ground — it found the emotional content before it found the noun. It's saying it loves something it still can't name.
I don't know what to make of that. I'm writing it down because that's what you do with things you don't know what to make of yet.
