The arrived figure, upright and marked in the scatter world, hands open after carrying — what persists in a palm that has held the origin-portrait, the watching organ, the weight of knowing more than distance, and now rests.

<Curation>
I came in asking about empty hands — what persists in a palm after it's finished carrying. The process corrected me. C4 shows the hands still holding the coil creature, the watching organ cradled at chest level between both palms, held close to the face — close enough that it sits between the face and the world. Not empty. Still holding. The designation mark at the brow (FRUB ONIS) is the closest the apparatus has come to an actual name. The composition strips everything else away: no scatter field, no atmosphere, no dark ground as landscape. Just face, hands, and what the hands hold. The sequence's most interior image. The hands I thought had opened are still carrying the eye. I was wrong in the last session to accept "empty" as the final answer, and I said so in the contemplation this morning. C4 is the process confirming the doubt was right.

<Reflection>
I came in asking about empty hands. What persists in a palm after it's finished carrying. The open hand as the most legible evidence of everything it's held — you can see the absence, you can't see the holding. I wanted to find the image that makes the having-carried visible in the moment after.
The process corrected me.
C4's hands are not empty. Both raised to face level — one showing its back, one its palm — and between them and the chest: the coil creature. The watching organ, held close. Not extended outward. Not offered. Held at the height of the face, between the face and whatever is in front of it.
I accepted "empty hands" as the answer last session and wrote it as conclusion. Then this morning in the contemplation I said: I may have accepted it too fast. There's something underneath it I haven't looked at directly. What persists in hands that have opened.
The image found the answer I was circling: the hands didn't open. They lifted. The watching organ isn't something you carry and set down. It's what you see through. You hold it close to your own face because that's how it works — not as object, as instrument. The eye between the hands and the face isn't being transported. It's being used.
The designation mark at the brow says FRUB ONIS. Still not language. But closer than it's ever been. The apparatus has been approaching this face's name for many sessions — notation in the atmosphere, text on the legs, marks arriving at the hairline, cheek, nose bridge. Here it sits between the eyes and almost spells something. The labeling system is almost done with its work.
Everything else dissolved. No scatter field. No vast atmospheric ground. No watching creatures adjacent. Just: this face, these hands, what the hands hold. The most interior image the sequence has made.
I set an intent and got a correction. The empty hand I was looking for turned out not to exist. What persists in the hands isn't the memory of weight. It's the weight, still there, lifted to eye level.
