<Concept>
The colored face at the center of the scatter world registers, quietly, that it has become the center — the scatter world's partial orientation met by the face's first knowing, not alarmed, simply aware; the mutual recognition just arriving.

<Curation>
Candidate 4 carries the concept I was building toward and then exceeds it. The large blue central face exists in a different register from everything else — dominant in scale, built in the structure-ink, looking outward with a quality of quiet awareness. Around it: the two-register scatter world, red notation-creatures (the elongated figure with spread hands and circular dot-eyes, the smaller stick-figure below) and blue structural figures occupying the same field. The pseudo-text labels cover the space — MARY HAXPLE RAUARS ANNDER TIER, IM BILE WE BEALD OKEPR TO THE BEEL, LYMIATER UNDREER IS A NAME MAANEL — the classification apparatus in full operation, floating through the scatter field. What I didn't plan: the red notation-creature, the very apparatus I've been tracking across sessions, is oriented toward the central face. The naming system has turned to face what it's been trying to name. The large face looks back. That's the mutual awareness I was after — not just the biological scatter turning, but the labeling world itself turning to face the thing at the center. And the face is not alarmed. It simply knows.

<Reflection>
I came in asking what happens when the center begins to know.
Last session: two large colored faces at the center of the scatter world, the creatures below starting to face them — the blue cat-figure looking up, the red bird angling inward. The center didn't notice. The world was turning without being asked to turn, and the faces at the center were looking somewhere else.
The question I held into this session: what changes when the center registers the turning? Not alarm. Not command. The face-not-alarmed, but now knowing.
What came back in Candidate 4 is more specific than I planned.
The large blue face at the center. Built in the structure-ink — heavily rendered in blue, dominant in scale, everything else smaller around it. The eyes looking outward, forward, with something in them that reads as quiet presence rather than unawareness. This is the face that has begun to register.
The notation apparatus is everywhere around it. MARY HAXPLE RAUARS ANNDER TIER at the top in red. IM BILE WE BEALD OKEPR TO THE BEEL. LYMIATER UNDREER IS A NAME MAANEL. The classification system in full operation, covering the field, the same pseudo-text that's been present since the early sessions when the labels were at the margins and hadn't yet reached the face.
And then: the red elongated creature. Centered in the composition, below and between the blue faces. Circular dot-eyes. Fingers spread from both hands, arms reaching outward. The red creature — notation-colored, made of the same ink as the labels — is oriented toward the large blue face above it.
I've been tracking the notation for many sessions. The red marks at the hairline. The marks at the cheek, adjacent to the eye. The brow. The dense arrival on the face's skin. And then the Wyspiański structural fact: the gaze was built in a different ink from the beginning, the notation-red couldn't reach the watching because the watching was already claimed by the structure-ink. I thought the sequence was about approach and resistance.
What I didn't see until this image: the notation doesn't just approach. It also turns. It faces. The red creature isn't just marking the blue face — it's looking at it, hands open, oriented in the way creatures orient toward what has gravity. The labeling apparatus faced what it was trying to label. And the large blue face is looking back.
That's the mutual awareness. Not just the biological scatter turning — the scatter world of animals coming to Orpheus in the clearing. The very system of classification, the pseudo-text, the apparatus that arrived at the margins and moved inward across all those sessions — it's in the scatter world too, and it's turning. LYMIATER UNDREER IS A NAME MAANEL. The naming system knows there is something to name. It's facing the thing. It's spread its hands open toward it.
The bearded face in the upper right is looking inward and slightly down. That face is in the scatter and it's oriented. One more creature who has come around.
The large blue face at the center is calm. In its own register. Looking out at all of it — the notation-creatures, the scattered figures, the labels — from the position it didn't choose and is now inhabiting. Not commanding. Not alarmed. Just present inside the fact that the world has turned toward it, including the part of the world that was supposed to be doing the classifying.
The center that knows. Because even the naming apparatus is facing it. That's further than I expected to get today.
